BASA, The British Adhesives and Sealants Association welcomes the change to the law for biocidal products in GB

We agree that the new law will allow biocidal products on the market in GB awaiting decision on their application to remain there legally until they are processed by HSE. This temporary change is very welcome as we were concerned that many biocides would no longer be legally available. BASA understands this has been introduced due to the large number of resubmissions received by the HSE. This is reassuring as we were concerned that resubmissions were not occurring. For that reason, we would welcome the creation of a list of these biocides along with details on the numbers of applications.
