Decabromodiphenyl ether, PFOA added to Annex III of the Rotterdam Convention

Two new chemicals (or group of chemicals) namely decabromodiphenyl ether and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts and PFOA-related compounds have been included in the Annex III to the Rotterdam Convention. Annex III include pesticides and industrial chemicals that have been banned or severely restricted for health or environmental reasons by signatories to the Rotterdam Convention. Parties can submit their responses on this decision by July 21, 2023.
