On September 02, 2022, ECHA added Isobutyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (used as a preservative in cosmetics) into its substances of very high concern (SVHC) identification list as per the proposal of Denmark. The chemical is being claimed to be endocrine disruptor. Public comments are sought till October 17, 2022.
