European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) published position paper on EU's ‘One Substance One Assessment’ initiative

In its response to call for evidence on the EU's adoption of ‘One Substance One Assessment’ approach for chemical safety assessment and to ensure balanced dissemination of chemical safety information which incentivises companies to invest in safety data generation, European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) expressed its overwheling support stating that disseminating all essential information on the properties and health and environmental impact of chemical products and make it publicly accessible builds trust among stakeholders. The council however also expressed concerns on the potential administrative burden the new apporach is going to put on the agencies.
