Rules for the Hazardous Chemicals Warehouse Storage in China Effective from July 2023

A national standard for hazardous chemicals is GB 15603-2022. It offers a fundamental and universal standard for their storage. The storage of potentially harmful chemicals, handling and stacking, warehouse operations, labour protection and emergency management are among the fundamental requirements. 

GB 15603-2022 revised the Table of Prohibitions on the Storage of Hazardous Chemicals in Annex A.1, introducing GHS in hazard classifications, deleted the provisions on open-air storage and added the storage requirements for highly toxic chemicals, regulated chemicals, precursor chemicals, and explosives precursors.
