U.S. EPA to designate PFOA, PFOS as hazardous substances under CERCLA

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to designate perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), along their salts and structural isomers, as hazardous substances under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Public comments on this decision are sought till  November 07, 2022.
