Canada: Solvent Violet 13 to be added to Schedule 1 to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA)

Solvent Violet 13 (used for dyeing hydrocarbon products like solvents and petrol, thermoplastics, synthetic resins, e.g. polystyrenes, and synthetic fiber), along with 6 other anthrquinone group of chemicals namely Pigment Blue 60, Solvent Violet 59, Solvent Blue 36, Disperse Red 60, Acid Blue 239, and 9,10-Anthracenedione, 1,4-diamino-, N,N'-mixed 2-ethylhexyl (WIth its Methyl and pentyl derivaives), are expected to be added in  Schedule 1 to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) as per the Chemicals Management Plan (CMP).
