There are several safety issues with CBD consumption, particularly with long-term use. The protections and control of hazards associated with CBD products would be provided by a new regulatory framework, which would be advantageous to consumers. Clear labelling, preventing impurities, and setting CBD content limits are a few risk management strategies.

Studies have revealed the possibility of liver damage, interactions with particular drugs, and potential harm to the male reproductive system.

People could be unknowingly exposed to CBD through meat, milk and eggs from animals fed CBD. CBD also poses risks to animals and people and covered in this regulation.
