Malaysian Health Ministry Proposes Legislation to Combat Youth Smoking and Vaping

On March 12, 2024, the Ministry of Health will seek Cabinet approval for proposed legislation under the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Act 2024 in Malaysia. It seeks to reduce youth smoking and vaping. The Health Ministry aims to combat student smoking habits through initiatives such as the Smoking-Free Oral Health Programme (KOTAK) and collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
