U.S. EPA notifies WTO about inclusion of DINP category to the toxic chemical list

On August 09, 2022, a notifiction issued by the U.S. EPA was published by the WTO whereby EPA is proposing to add the diisononyl phthalate (DINP) category of chemicals (used as a plasticizer) to the toxic chemical list on the basis that the updated hazard assessment demonstrates that the DINP category meets the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) toxicity criterion. Public comments on this decision are sought till October 07, 2022.
