U.S. EPA publishes final revised risk evaluation of Pigment Violet 29

On September 06, 2022, the U.S. EPA has published final revised risk evaluation of Pigment Violet 29 (PV29). It was concluded that the substance poses an unreasonable risk of injury to human health. It is used to create or adjust color of other perylene pigments in paints and coatings, in the automobile industry, in plastic and rubber products in automobiles and industrial carpeting, in merchant ink for commercial printing, and in consumer watercolors.
