Amendment to Enforcement Order of Industrial Safety and Health Act require labelling and notice of substances

Japan has notified the World Trade Organization of its Industrial Safety and Health Act Enforcement Order on March 16, 2023.

The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW) will amend the Industrial Safety and Health Act Enforcement Order and related ordinances to impose obligations on business operators who transfer or provide substances listed in Appendix 1, preparations containing these substances, and other items containing these substances. The proposed period of implementation is April 2025.
