China Fragrance, Flavor, and Cosmetics Industry Association Introduces Measures to Enhance Cosmetics Safety Assessment and Management

On March 16, 2024, the China Fragrance, Flavor, and Cosmetics Industry Association issued several measures to optimize the safety assessment and management of cosmetics. These steps include optimizing the safety assessment system, giving technical guidance, integrating raw material data resources, and developing a new assessment report management mechanism. China will launch the full version of the safety assessment report system for cosmetics products on May 1, 2024.It also aims to standardize safety assessment and reduce animal testing.
