Environmental and Climate Agendas Make Progress on Chemical Regulatory Initiatives in Brazil

The Brazilian government remains committed to addressing the climate crisis, halting deforestation, promoting sustainable development, and facilitating the energy transition. 

As part of the partnership between the Brazilian government and the United Nations Development Programme, the Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) has released the "Orientation Guide for the Management and Environmentally Appropriate Final Destination of Ozone-depleting Substances (ODS) Wastes."  The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP) announced a public hearing to be preceded by a 45-day consultation period.
