EU: Public comments sought on creation of new hazard classes of the CLP Regulation

From September 20, 2022, the European Commission is seeking public comments on its draft Delegated Regulation establishing new hazard classes in the CLP Regulation on classification, labelling and packaging of substances. It is expected to align with the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability (CSS) and thereby paves a way to classify hazardous substances as endocrine disruptors, PBT (Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic) and PMT (Persistent, Mobile and Toxic). Comments can be submitted till October 18, 2022.
