Overview of Cosmetic Enforcement in the UK: Roles of Trading Standards and OPSS

CTPA is hosting a webinar on 17 April, 2024 from 10:30 to 12:30 to provide an overview of cosmetic enforcement in the UK. The webinar will include an overview of the organization structure, management of cosmetic safety, case studies, and sector-specific investigations. Richard Knight from Trading Standards will guide companies through how Trading Standards Officers may request information and deliver enforcement actions. The webinar is open to CTPA members and non-members and is scheduled for two hours with Q&A.The UK's Trading Standards is responsible for enforcing cosmetics policies and delivering enforcement at a local level. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) supports Trading Standards and ensures the safety of cosmetic products on the market. Authorities provide advice and support to businesses to ensure product compliance and consumer safety.
