South Korea's Ministry of Environment has announced a support program for the production of hazardous test data for new chemical substances. The program aims to reduce the burden on small and medium-sized enterprises and provides financial support for toxicity test data production. The program covers various test items and supports animal testing and alternative methods. Manufacturers or importers must register before manufacturing or importing new chemical substances weighing more than 0.1 tons annually. The program provides cost support for hazardousness test data produced by domestic testing institutions, with priority given to items that can be replaced by alternative animal testing.
