Call for Stricter Regulations on E-Cigarettes in Wales

Public Health Wales has called for stricter tobacco-style regulations on e-cigarettes in response to rising smoking rates among children and adolescents. The agency supports raising the legal age limit for tobacco sales and banning disposable e-cigarettes. Dr. Julie Bishop, Director of the Health Improvement Department at Public Health Wales, emphasized the need for standardized packaging, e-cigarettes stored behind the counter, and restrictions on flavors. The UK government has also expressed intentions to introduce legislation to combat smoking and youth smoking.
