Consultation: ECHA calls for Evidence on Scientific Evaluation of Workplace Exposure Limits for 1,3-Butadiene and Bisphenol A

On March 17th, 2023, a call for evidence was issued for the scientific assessment of workplace exposure limits for two substances: 1,3-butadiene and 4,4-isopropylidenediphenol. (Bisphenol A).

1,3-Butadiene is used in the manufacture of synthetic rubber and plastic goods, as well as other chemicals.
Bisphenol A, also known as BPA, is a chemical that is used in the manufacturing of certain plastics and resins.
The request for proof will be open until June 15th, 2023. The purpose of the call for evidence is to collect information about the potential risks associated with workplace exposure to these substances, and to aid in the creation of exposure limits to protect workers' health and safety.
