Consultation opens for testing proposal of Formaldehyde, reaction products with m-phenylenediamine, sodium sulfide (Na2S) and sulfur by ECHA

On January 15, 2024, ECHA started a 45 day public commenting period (i.e till  February 29, 2024) on Formaldehyde, reaction products with m-phenylenediamine, sodium sulfide (Na2S) and sulfur, which is under testing proposal by REACH regulation.

Based on Vertebrate testing (in-vivo), this substance proposed to poses Genetic toxicity. 

This substance is used in the textile treatment products and dyes.
This substance is used for the manufacture of textile, leather or fur.
