ECHA Compiled the Treated articles: List of allowed substances updated

June 30, 2023

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has voluntarily put together this list to assist parties in finding AS-PT combinations that are suitable for use in treated articles.

The AS-PT combinations have been divided into various groups based on the following objective standards:

Part I covers AS-PT combinations that have been accepted (i.e., they were added to the Union list or Annex I list) or that are currently being examined in the Review Program or outside of it. The EU market is lawfully open to products treated with a biocidal product (or purposefully integrating a biocidal product) that include an AS specified in Part I.

The withdrawn AS-PT combinations in Part II are those for which a submission was filed by September 1, 2016, but for which the grace period has not yet run out. After 180 days from the date of the withdrawal or non-approval decision, articles that have been treated with or included in a biocidal product containing that AS shall no longer be sold.

In line with Article 17(5) of the Review Programme Regulation (EU) No 1062/2014, Part III comprises AS-PT combinations that have been notified for (ongoing) inclusion in the review program and for which ECHA has issued a declaration of conformity, or where such a notification is in the process of being processed.
