Efforts to Resolve Cigarette Price Crisis in Egypt

On January 29, 2024, Ibrahim Al-Imbabi, head of the Chambers of Commerce's Tobacco Division, declared on the "Hazrat Al-Muwatin" program that efforts are being done to alleviate Egypt's cigarette price crisis. The Consumer Protection Agency collaborates with cigarette makers to keep track of prices and avoid manipulation. They intend to address the pricing issue by mandating corporations to submit precise information about cigarette vendors.
