UK retailers may face unlimited fines for not implementing a portable e-cigarette recycling scheme, with no upper limit on the fine amount. The Office for Product Safety & Standards has increased the fine amount from £5000 to £1,000, based on WEEE legislation. Retailers with annual sales below £100,000 must join a Distributor Takeback Scheme.
